How do I arrange daycare nursery / early education with Purple Willows?Contact Purple Willows and make an appointment for a site visit. We are happy to show you around our nursery to discuss ways we can help your child and then, once you have decided, you must complete an application for admission.

Can I make application online?Absolutely! To apply online, please complete our online application form Section 1. You will also need to complete Section 2 (Medical Form) before we can process your application. We process all applications within 48 hours during the week. We will notify you of the outcome of your child's enrolment

Is you nursery OFSTED registered?Yes! We are registered with OFSTED – Registration No EY553218. You can also view our OFSTED report here

What is the Early Years Foundation?The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS. Read more about the EYFS Framework.

How do you implement the EYFS at Purple Willows Day NurseryOur overall aim is to provide a curriculum-rich environment to develop every area of a child's life; social, emotional, physical and academic. What is a key person?We assign a Key Person to every child we enroll and he/she will help your child to settle in and will observe their development to aspects identified in the EYFS. The Key Person is responsible for completing your child’s profile according to the EYFS.

What activities do you offer to children?We support children’s learning through both planned and child-initiated activities throughout the day. We offer children a mixture of different activity engagement, as well as giving them plenty of opportunities to play and explore using modern equipment to enable them to be inventive and use their imaginations.

What precautions do you take to keep my child safe?Given the nature of the service we provide, it is crucial to ensure the protection of our children, and for this reason, we ensure that qualified staff is recruited and employed at all times and enhanced police checks are carried out in respect of all roles within the nursery. Our nursery is highly secured, and we have robust policies and procedures including procedures for recording details of visitors to the nursery, and no unauthorised person has unsupervised access to the children. Children are supervised at all time, and we follow Ofsted ratios of staff: children. Please refer to our [policies] for further information.

How do I find out about my child’s day at nursery and performance?Observations take place on a regular basis as part of our daily routines and all of the children experiences at the nursery are recorded via ParentZone, which is a system that allows parents and carers to view their child’s Learning Journal online. It is a smart phone app designed to bring parents and carers closer to their child's development in nursery. This means parents will be able to see their child’s daily activities that are logged by their child’s Key Person during their time in nursery. We will set you up when you register your child with us.

Will my child be offered meals and snacks?Absolutely! Meals, drinks and snacks are included in the fees. At Purple Willows we offer a varied and healthy diet made from fresh produce and where possible organic. All our meals are supplied daily by a leading UK catering company and experts in nursery food and nutrition “Zebedees”. To find out more of what we offer, you can download our menus.

How much will it cost for my child to attend Purple Willows Day Nursery?At Purple Willows there are no hidden extra costs. Our fees are fully inclusive of everything including freshly served meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, and creams. We guarantee the use of accredited premium brand products. Do you accept government funding?Purple Willows is registered with the local authority to accept 15hours and 30 hours funding.

What age group do you admit childrenWe admit children from 8months to 5years

Do you provide out of school service?Purple Willows nursery provides childcare and interactive play as well as sport activities for children aged 2 to 6 years during school holidays or mid-term break. No registration fee or deposit is required for our out of school service, However, due to high demand, we encourage parents and guidance to make booking in advance to avoid any dissapoitmnt.
