The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS. Read more about the EYFS Framework.

What activities do you offer to children?

We support children’s learning through both planned and child-initiated activities throughout the day. We offer children a mixture of different activity engagement, as well as giving them plenty of opportunities to play and explore using modern equipment to enable them to be inventive and use their imaginations.

What precautions do you take to keep my child safe?

Given the nature of the service we provide, it is crucial to ensure the protection of our children, and for this reason, we ensure that qualified staff is recruited and employed at all times and enhanced police checks are carried out in respect of all roles within the nursery. Our nursery is highly secured, and we have robust policies and procedures including procedures for recording details of visitors to the nursery, and no unauthorised person has unsupervised access to the children. Children are supervised at all time, and we follow Ofsted ratios of staff: children. Please refer to our [ policies] for further information.

How do I find out about my child’s day at nursery and performance?

Observations take place on a regular basis as part of our daily routines and all of the children experiences at the nursery are recorded via ParentZone, which is a system that allows parents and carers to view their child’s Learning Journal online.

It is a smart phone app designed to bring parents and carers closer to their child's development in nursery. This means parents will be able to see their child’s daily activities that are logged by their child’s Key Person during their time in nursery.

We will set you up when you register your child with us.

Will my child be offered meals and snacks?
