Parents should register by February 28th for summer 30 hour place. Don't miss out!

HMRC is encouraging parents to apply for 30 hours as soon as possible.

Parents who wish to apply for up to 30 hours free early learning and childcare extended entitlement place in the summer term need to apply no later than the February 28, to guarantee an eligibility code. Without this code, parents won’t be able to receive funding for the additional entitlement. The deadline for receiving an eligibility code is 31st March. Anyone missing this deadline may not be eligible for a 30 hours place for their child, starting from April. Purple Willows is advising all Parents to register as early as possible.

The summer term runs from 1 April to 31 August. Parents who do not take up a summer place will need to wait until September to take up the 30 hours.

HMRC also wants to remind existing parents to reconfirm their eligibility for 30 hours every three months. To support this, HMRC has produced a parent communication toolkit, to provide further information to parents about 30 hours and Tax-Free Childcare.

Further information on this can be found on the Childcare Choices website.
