London South East Colleges commend Awa’s caring nature


We are pleased to announce that one of the apprentices we support has been commended by the LSEC (London South East Colleges) having achieved the college Jack Petchey Award for her magnificent achievements on her apprenticeship course.

Awa, 19, from Orpington started her career journey with Purple Willows in 2018 on a traineeship in Children's Care, Learning and Development with the LSEC. The LSEC are one of the best connected colleges in London provide a wide range of courses including vocational courses, BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds and other specialist qualifications.

Recent press release by the LSEC report that Awa is a fantastic role model to her fellow classmates and apprentices. We are delighted to support Awa carer journey. She has worked really hard to make huge improvements to both her skills and her maturity at work, becoming a valuable member of the Purple Willows day nursery team. We wish Awa the very best of success in her studies and career journey with Purple Willows.
