Fee Information

At a Glance - Parent Summary

Key information for families

  • Government funding supports early education but does not cover all aspects of nursery provision.

  • Purple Willows offers childcare across most of the year, with planned closures during Christmas and one week annually for staff training and development.

  • Funded hours are spread evenly across the year to support consistent weekly attendance.

  • Our fees are structured to provide a high-quality, inclusive nursery experience for all children.

How Funded Hours Are Delivered at Purple Willows Nuxley Village

At Purple Willows Nuxley Village, our fees reflect the quality of care, learning, and environment we provide. This includes experienced staff, nutritious meals, everyday care essentials, and a rich programme of learning and enrichment activities.

We are committed to transparency and fairness in how childcare fees and government funding are applied.

Government childcare funding is provided on a 38-week, term-time basis.

Purple Willows Nuxley Village operates for 51 weeks of the year, closing during the Christmas period and for one additional week annually to support staff training and professional development. These planned closures allow us to maintain high standards of care and continuous improvement.

To support families requiring regular childcare, funded hours are distributed evenly across our operational weeks rather than taken term-time only.

When funding is delivered in this way:

  • 15 funded hours equate to approximately 11.2 hours per week

  • 30 funded hours equate to approximately 22.3 hours per week

Session Availability

Some nursery sessions are offered on a limited-availability basis due to staffing levels, occupancy, and capacity requirements. Session availability is allocated fairly and will be confirmed at the point of registration.

This applies across all booking types. Where funded childcare is accessed, any items not covered by government funding are itemised transparently within our fee information. Families may discuss individual arrangements with the nursery team where required.

Funded Childcare Within Our Nursery Model

Government funding contributes towards the early education element of a childcare place. Certain everyday items and services that form part of the nursery day are not included within funding.

To ensure children benefit from a consistent experience, Purple Willows includes meals, care supplies, and learning resources as part of our standard nursery provision. These elements are shown transparently within fee breakdowns.

Access to funded childcare hours is available without requiring families to purchase additional services.

Additional Private Hours

Where attendance exceeds a child’s funded entitlement, additional hours or days are charged at our standard private rates.

Private fees include:

  • Childcare and supervision

  • Meals and refreshments

  • Consumables

  • Learning activities and enrichment

Funding Eligibility

If a child becomes eligible for funded childcare from 9 months of age part-way through the academic year, or turns 3 after 1 September, the funded hours allocation may vary depending on the term in which eligibility begins. As a result, monthly fees may be adjusted for that academic year. Families in these circumstances are encouraged to contact the Accounts Department for a personalised breakdown

Monthly Fees

15 Hours Funded Childcare - Monthly Fees

From the term after their child turns 9 months, eligible working parents can access 15 funded hours per week for 38 weeks a year.
