In honor of "World Down Syndrome Day"

Today we recognise World Down Syndrome Day, an occasion where people come together to raise public awareness and advocate for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down's syndrome.

All our staff and children came together wearing odd socks which have been used as the symbol because chromosomes are shaped "like socks" and people with Down's syndrome are born with an extra one. Our children recognise the occasion with the lyrics " A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri marked an excellent day for Purple Willows Daycare Nursery.
